The first of our NCS projects was in collaboration with Attleborough High School. On Monday 30th June we left Attleborough for Derbyshire with 11 young people to spend 5 days staying at Tansley Scout Centre. During the week the young people developed skills such as learning to cook for them selves, outdoor activities such as rock climbing and abseiling, weaseling, took part in activities such as hiking, white water rafting and arrived back in Norwich on Friday 4th.  The second part of the project saw the young people going to Trimingham where they took part in team building games, cycled from Whitwell to Norwich and took part in raft building and canoeing. In the following two weeks the group undertook 2 community projects, one being volunteering at Chapel Road Special School where they cleared a waste area making the space available for gardening lessons to take place and the being undertaken by part of the group who painted the tea and refreshments hut for the Attleborough Football Club. At the end of the project the group attended a ceremony at Norwich Football Club where they received certificates signed by the Prime Minister.

In October we undertook our second NCS project which involved taking a group of young people from Hellesdon School to Eccles Hall School where we met up with ten other young people to undertake outdoor team building activities such as climbing, high wires and rifle shooting. The following days consisted of raft building and canoeing, cooking and music making. After this the young people did another 30 days of voluntary work in the community. This again was followed by a trip to Norwich Football Club to collect their certificates which was enjoyed by all.
