Norfolk International Projects has formed an umbrella organisation called Norfolk Youth Projects. We are now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This will enable us to have charity status.

Norfolk Youth Projects will now be the governing body responsible for office, accommodation, insurance, mini bus and staff.

Norfolk International Projects will continue to organise and host cultural youth exchanges around Europe. We will also be a coordinator for the European Voluntary Service. This will enable us to send young people 18+ abroad to work for 12 months fully funded by the European Union.

We will also under Norfolk Educational Projects we will be promoting and hosting 1 day activities such as Climbing, canoeing etc. We will also be organising 2/3/4 residential for young people doing different activity, art etc.

At the recent members committee meeting it was decided that our main fund raising plans for 2014 are to organise a large fete at the NewEcclesHallSchool at the end of June. This will be followed by a bike ride across the United Kingdom in August.

A group of members are also preparing and planning to do the Safari Rally. T

his will take place around Christmas 2014. They’re present looking for a sponsor for this project.

Since the last newsletter Norfolk International Projects has be involved in 3 Cultural Youth Exchanges abroad. We took 15 young people to Belarus where we were joined by 15 young people from Belarus, Holland and Russia. The theme of this project was Volunteering. We took 5 young people to NoviSad Serbia they were joined by France, Serbia, Ukraine, Italy and Bosnia. We have just been to Poland with 5 young people they were joined by young people from Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, Romania and Poland. We host a youth exchange at The Eccles Hall School in Norfolk where 15 young people were joined by 15 young people from Georgia and Azerbaijan.

With our European Voluntary6 Service Ana, Inma and Nadin have finished their placements. They have been replaced by Birthe from Germany and Marko from Serbia who are at The New Eccles Hall School. We have Tania from The Ukraine who is working with us at NIP.
